Industries — HOSPITALITY: HOTEL GUEST WI-FI · MANHATTAN & THE NY/NJ METRO
Hotel Guest Wi-Fi and Network for NY & NJ: Every Guest Online from the lobby to the top floor.
Guest Wi-Fi is the first thing a guest reaches for and the last thing they forgive: a dead spot on the top floor, or a stall at check-in, lands in the next morning’s review. NYC IT Works designs and runs hotel wireless on Ubiquiti UniFi, our partner platform, and supports the hospitality systems you may already have, across the NY and NJ metro, on a network engineered to carry the PMS, the locks and the phones on the same backbone.
It begins with a Free Wi-Fi Heatmap & Coverage Assessment

Coverage engineered · Around the clock · Branded Captive Portal · On-site across NY and NJ
THE FIRST THING GUESTS NEED
Great Wi-Fi is invisible.
Bad Wi-Fi is a review.
A guest connects before they unpack, streams in the room after dinner, and joins a call from the desk in the morning, and a single weak floor or one slow evening becomes a one-star line about the internet. We design the coverage for the whole property and engineer the network beneath it, so the signal holds where guests actually stand, and so the PMS, the locks and the phones share that backbone instead of competing for it, across every property you run in NY and NJ.
WHERE THE SIGNAL GETS TESTED
A Guest judges the Wi-Fi in the room, in the lobby, and when the house is full.
THE ROOM
The Signal has to reach the far corner
A guest tries the Wi-Fi before they unpack, and the top-floor corner room is where a weak design shows first. We place and tune access points for where guests actually sit and sleep, so the room the booking promised is the room that connects.
THE LOBBY & AMENITIES
Public space is the first Impression
The lobby, the bar and the meeting rooms carry the heaviest and most visible load, and a laptop that will not hold a call is the complaint a manager hears in person. We build capacity into the spaces where guests gather, so the busy floor stays as quick as the quiet one.
THE FULL HOUSE
Peak Nights Cannot Slow to a Crawl
A sold-out house, a conference and a ballroom event can arrive at once, in the hours a generalist shop has gone home. We size the network for that peak and watch it around the clock, so the busiest night still feels like an ordinary one.

BUILT ON UNIFI
The Platform we Deploy, and the Systems we are fluent in.
We deploy and manage hotel wireless on Ubiquiti UniFi, the platform we partner on and know down to the switch port, and we support the enterprise and hospitality systems a property may already run. Whichever it is, we engineer and monitor the network beneath the radios; dropping in access points is the easy part, and keeping a full house online is the work.

INTERFACES & INTEGRATIONS
A Door Lock lives or dies at its Connections.
Most lock trouble is not the lock. It is the handoff: a booking that never reaches the encoder, a mobile key that never leaves the app, a checkout that never tells the room to power down, a fire alarm that has to release every door at once. Each of those is a wire between the lock and another system, and each is a place a service call gets bounced from one vendor to the next. We hold those wires, end to end, across your NY and NJ hotels.
RESERVATIONS
Front Desk & PMS
The booking-to-key interface: check-in issues a card, checkout kills it, staff access is scoped, all tied cleanly to the PMS.
MOBILE KEYS
Guest Wi-Fi App Delivery
Phone-as-key credentials ride your Wi-Fi and the lock platform cloud, so coverage and the connection have to hold at the door.
ENERGY
Building Management
Occupancy and checkout signals from the lock and PMS driving HVAC and lighting setbacks, tied in cleanly.
LIFE SAFETY
Panic Alarms & Egress
Fire release and free egress at the door, and the staff panic layer built to New York City’s Safe Hotels Act.
BACK OF HOUSE
Access Control
Back-of-house and common-area entry on scoped, logged credentials, coordinated with the guest-room locks.
BACKBONE
Networks & Cabling
The wired and wireless backbone, PoE and cabling that online locks and mobile keys depend on.
THE HOSPITALITY-GRADE DIFFERENCE
A Guest Lock is Front-of-House, and it should be Supported that way.
A generalist help desk treats a lock like a printer. The team on our end knows a dead encoder empties the lobby and can name the platform on your doors before you finish the sentence, and that is the bar we hold at every property we look after.

HOW IT WORKS
Three Steps to Locks you Stop thinking about.
01
Book a 15-Minute Call
Fifteen minutes with an engineer, no commitment. Tell us the platform on your doors and where it bites: encoding, mobile keys, the PMS link, the 2 a.m. gaps.
03
Your Plan, Documented
You walk away with the findings in plain language and a fixed price to act on them. Use us for the work or take it to any team you trust; it is yours either way.
02
Free Lock & Network Assessment
On-site across NY and NJ, a senior engineer walks the lock platform, the controllers and network behind it, and the PMS handoff, and flags what is fragile before a guest meets it.

THE WHOLE STACK
The Lock is one Layer of a much larger build.
A guest touches the lock; everything that makes it work sits behind the wall. One team engineers and runs all of it, so a fault has a single owner instead of a huddle of vendors trading blame.
Networks & Infrastructure
FOUNDATION
The wired and wireless backbone every other system rides on: ISP procurement and failover circuits, structured cabling to every floor, firewalls and switching, on-property servers, and Wi-Fi engineered from the lobby to the top floor and through back of house. When a carrier cuts a line outside, the desk keeps working inside.
Built Only For Hotels
HOSPITALITY BUILDS
Locks and mobile keys first, then everything they touch: the PMS and its integrations, guest phones, guest Wi-Fi, in-room TV, staff panic alarms and building energy controls, each held where it plugs into the network, each with a page of its own.
Cybersecurity
PILLAR
Card data at the desk and an entry record on every door make a hotel worth attacking. Detection and response around the clock, managed EDR, mail and DNS filtering, camera and access-control oversight, and staff security training, plus the PCI-DSS evidence a card-brand or processor review comes looking for.
AI Infrastructure
PILLAR
Private AI kept on the property: assistants and analytics a group can run without a guest or staff record ever crossing the door, on on-prem servers and local models that retrieve from your own SOPs and rate rules. The model learns only from what stays inside your walls.
Smart Spaces
EXPERIENCE LAYER
The parts of the stay a guest can feel: lobby and bar audio, lighting and climate scenes, in-room casting and the TV matrix, signage and wayfinding, sensors and EV charging, all riding the same segmented network the locks do.
Managed IT
ONE ACCOUNTABLE TEAM
And the team behind all of it: a help desk your staff can raise at 3 a.m., monitoring and patching, endpoints and backups, disaster recovery, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, VoIP, co-managed IT, and vCIO planning and procurement, so every layer answers to the same people.
PARTNER
PARTNER
THE ENTERPRISE PLATFORMS THAT RUN HOSPITALITY TECHNOLOGY
On the network side we standardize on Ubiquiti UniFi across a hotel: the LAN, PoE out to every door controller, Wi-Fi dense enough to carry a mobile key to the far room, and UniFi Access and UniFi Protect run from a single console. We watch and maintain all of it through N-able. It is one stack, documented, with the same people behind it at any hour of the night.
Systems we work across: VingCard · Salto · dormakaba · Saflok · Ilco · Onity · ASSA ABLOY Mobile Access · Latch · SALTO KS · And More!
The infrastructure under these platforms is what we run. We do not resell locks or key systems; we are the engineers who keep the wiring, controllers and integrations beneath your doors working, at every NY and NJ property you operate.
